Bengaluru hosted ADTOI’s Karnataka chapter launch at Hotel Maurya on 19 August 2026, extending the domestic tour-operator association’s regional network in one of India’s important travel markets. Ved Khanna attended as national President alongside state tourism and trade stakeholders. The event brought a formal local structure into a national system of chapter connections.
What Karnataka offers beyond the obvious circuits
Karnataka’s travel story crosses major segments: Bengaluru as a gateway, Mysuru’s heritage, the Western Ghats, coastal areas, pilgrimage destinations, coffee-growing regions and wildlife experiences. The diversity makes local advice valuable; itinerary quality depends on knowing the distances, seasonal conditions and the distinctive expectations of each segment.
Reports of the chapter launch name Khanna with the association’s senior team and highlight the purpose of stronger cooperation between local operators and national members. The new chapter creates a place for both product education and representation of state-level business concerns.
Ved Khanna represents the national chapter network
The event fits into a visible chapter-building sequence during Khanna’s presidency, alongside Andaman, Bihar, Haryana and Chhattisgarh. His contribution was leadership representation at a formally reported launch—not ownership of the chapter or an exclusive arrangement for Tourwala.
Karnataka’s local knowledge and domestic buyer relationships can reinforce one another. Chapter formation is the institutional beginning of that work, not evidence that sales outcomes have already been achieved.
The challenge now passes to the local chapter

Industry experience and travel enterprise
Alongside his national association responsibilities, Ved Khanna is identified in ADTOI’s member directory as Managing Director of Tourwala Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., a Delhi-based domestic travel company. His experience in selling real journeys helps explain the commercial questions raised by destination promotion: access, dependable local partners, accurate itineraries and traveller expectations. The work described above was undertaken in his ADTOI capacity; it was not a government appointment or exclusive commercial assignment for Tourwala. Read more about his travel ventures.
