Vijayawada’s Tourism Tech AI 2.0 Conclave on 26–27 June 2025 put technology, investment and destination development on the same platform. Against that backdrop, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority and ADTOI signed a cooperation agreement on 27 June. In a documented moment of national trade representation, ADTOI President Ved Khanna received the signed memorandum from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
What was agreed—and what was being planned
The APTA–ADTOI agreement was intended to support a national tourism mart in Visakhapatnam and encourage collaboration between the state and Indian tour operators. A contemporaneous industry announcement originally proposed September 2025 dates. That proposed schedule should not be confused with the large ADTOI–Andhra Pradesh mart subsequently held in February 2026.
The wider Tourism Tech AI 2.0 Conclave focused on digital tools, tourism investment, wellness, heritage, coastal and eco-tourism. Independent reports describe a large package of separate state tourism MoUs at the conclave. Those investment agreements must not be attributed to Khanna or portrayed as commitments secured by Tourwala.
An important distinction often disappears when summaries treat every MoU at a conclave as the same deal. The state’s broader investment announcements involved multiple separate tourism projects, while the APTA–ADTOI memorandum concerned cooperation with a national operator association. The ceremonial exchange involving Ved Khanna is a documented part of the second story. Neither the government’s investment totals nor agreements with hotel or wellness investors should be described as Tourwala wins.
The location and moment are unusually well supported: a 27 June 2025 press release names Vijayawada, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Khanna as the recipient of the signed agreement. That combination is a credible foundation for a personal leadership feature, provided the final page includes an authorised event photograph and the exact title of the memorandum.
A signed tourism agreement received in ADTOI’s name
The significance of Khanna’s appearance is precise: he represented a national tour-operator body at the moment a state government formalised a route for trade cooperation. A signed framework can help align tourism promotion with the professional buyers who influence what travellers ultimately see in brochures and proposals.
What makes the MoU photograph important is the specific institutional capacity in which the document was received. Khanna stood for ADTOI; the contract was not signed for Tourwala. That precision is part of a serious professional record.
A traceable milestone for the ADTOI presidency
This is among the strongest individual event photographs and reporting opportunities in his professional record because the source identifies the official, the date, the document and his specific role.
Industry experience and travel enterprise
Alongside his national association responsibilities, Ved Khanna is identified in ADTOI’s member directory as Managing Director of Tourwala Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., a Delhi-based domestic travel company. His experience in selling real journeys helps explain the commercial questions raised by destination promotion: access, dependable local partners, accurate itineraries and traveller expectations. The work described above was undertaken in his ADTOI capacity; it was not a government appointment or exclusive commercial assignment for Tourwala. Read more about his travel ventures.
